Watch the Trailer

From #1 bestselling author Lisa Scottoline comes a pulse-pounding domestic thriller about family and justice, the ties that bind us, and the lies that tear us apart.

TJ Devlin is the charming disappointment in the prominent Devlin family, all of whom are lawyers at their highly successful firm – except him. After a stint in prison and rehab for alcoholism, TJ can’t get hired anywhere except at the firm, in a make-work job with the title of investigator.

But one night, TJ’s world turns upside down after his older brother John confesses that he just murdered one of the clients, an accountant he’d confronted with proof of embezzlement. It seems impossible coming from John, the firstborn son and Most Valuable Devlin.

TJ plunges into the investigation. seizing the chance to prove his worth and save his brother. But in no time, TJ and John find themselves entangled in a lethal web of deception and murder. T.J. will fight to save his family, but what he learns might break them first.

A wayward son. A wealthy family. A murder that could destroy them all.

Meet The Devlins. Are they a family or a conspiracy?

EARLY PRAISE

Ghosts of Harvard is written with a masterly, focused hand, belying the fact that this is Serritella’s debut novel. The pages burn with frenetic energy and are peopled by memorable, compelling characters. The tension is palpable, the twists and surprises perfectly timed and the stakes as high as humans should be asked to endure. The end result, a novel you will long remember and characters you will want to see again. A triumph in every respect.”
—#1 New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci

“Wow, what a lively, compelling, and intoxicating debut. Ghosts of Harvard is so many things—a rumination on grief, a glimpse behind the ivory walls of a famous institution, a poignant look at mental illness, and a powerful story about the ghosts that haunt us all. Francesca Serritella is my new ‘go-to’ author.”
—#1 New York Times bestselling author Harlan Coben

“Every time I thought I knew where Ghosts of Harvard was heading, I turned out to be wrong. Part mystery, part ghost story, part psychological thriller, this novel is all entertainment.”
—#1 New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult

A favorite! You keep me laughing!

oh Lisa, I laughed all the way through this one!

We need Flat Bradley!! Please!!!!

This is hilarious! It also hits close to home. Big Italian family here too, my uncle practically had a clothing store in his basement. Sold great things at a fantastic price. I too was to young to realize what was going on.

❤️

But his heart was in giving you presents. Merry Christmas to your memories. May we always remember.

Great article. But I had to use search for it! These used to show up on my feed automatically. I wish FB would stop updating without asking me.

Wow!! 19 kids!!!

That is some story!

Hilarious. Everyone should have an uncle like that.

They never stop changing! Shame on FB

I really think that’s how I got my daughter’s (the ONLY thing she wanted for Christmas) Cabbage Patch Doll. My husband got a call at midnight to meet a friend of a friend. 😬#felloffatruck

That's an amazing story! I love it!

Great column. 😂

I had an uncle who frequently had items that “fell off the truck”. I loved him dearly and not because of the items.

This is great! Just finished Part 1 of Hide and Seek.. and I'm still trying to locate my last box that I conveniently "hid" so I could get to it... My luck, it made its way to the Thift store with all the other stuff I didn't know I had, so I bought new to replace i 😬

Always enjoy hearing this story about your Uncle Mikey.😂

Here is a true classic and the first column Francesca wrote while in college, before she became a regular contributor.

Intro from Lisa Scottoline

Thanksgiving is about family, so I thought I’d ask my daughter Francesca for her thoughts about the day. We spend so much time talking to and teaching our children that sometimes it’s nice just to ask them what they think, and listen to the answer. So take a minute this Thanksgiving to ask your own baby birds what they think about the day, and listen to whatever they chirp up with.
Because I bet that the thing that you’re most thankful for is them.

My family is small. Since it’s only my mom and me at home, our Thanksgiving has never been the Martha Stewart production it can be for some other families. My dad’s family has Thanksgiving in New York; my grandmother and uncle have Thanksgiving in Miami. My mother and I buy a last-minute turkey, make up some wacky ingredients for a stuffing, and eat together with Frank Sinatra playing in the background and a lot of warm, furry dogs warming our feet. It has always been nice, and I know we’re lucky to have each other, but sometimes it has just felt small.

Are these artichokes?

My grandfather was a ham radio operator, he even had a small radio shack on his farm with his call letters on it. He would contact my other grandfather via Ham. Thanks for the travel down memory lane. Happy Thanksgiving!🦃🍁

Happy Thanksgiving🦃❤️ Wonderful story❤️

Perfect!

It’s as lovely as ever.

Such a lovely piece!

This is so true. Family does not necessarily mean those related by blood but, rather, it could be any circle of people we share common things with such as ideas, talents, hobbies, etc. In other words, people who make us happy and we love to be with.

After my father passed, one of my mother's friends asked where we were going for the next holiday. We didn't know, so she said you'll come here. And so it has been for every holiday, even though my mother and her friend have both been gone for years. They are my family now.

In a nutshell! ❤️
